Shalom Foundations
Shalom Foundations was formed by Shri. K. K. Marimuthu, a Social Worker, along with his friends and well-wishers.
Shri. K. K. Marimuthu, a Sarvodaya Worker, associated himself with the Sarvodaya Movement of Acharya Vinoba Bhave for nearly two decades. With his rich experience in Gandhian ideals and principles, he initiated development activities with the help of like-minded individuals in Tiruchirappalli City and surroundings.
This initiative of Shri. K. K. Marimuthu gave legal birth to a Trust under the name and style, “Shalom Foundations”, registered under the Indian Trust Act 1882, in the year 2000.
The mandate of the organization is to enable marginalized and disadvantaged rural women, children, and farmers to achieve their socio-economic development through a process of organization and participation.
In pursuit of this goal, SHALOM Foundations has been reaching out to more than 9,000 families in hundreds of villages across 6 blocks of Tiruchirappalli district, Tamil Nadu, through various programs supported by NABARD, Indian Bank (Thuraiyur & Musiri Branches), Karur Vysya Bank (Musiri Branch), Indian Overseas Bank (Eragudi, Lalgudi Kattur, and Valavanthankottai Branches), and Canara Bank (Andhanallur Branch).

VISION
Shalom Foundations envisages a self sustained farming community in which they will be the key factors for their socio economic development.
MISSION
Shalom Foundations vision will be attained by means of strengthening of the farming community with capacity building, trainings, technical inputs for sustainable agriculture, financial support, reducing production cost, value adding the commodities and approaches for profitable agriculture through viable marketing linkages.
